There is so much competitiveness in the job market with people fighting for jobs. There are some things you can do to help set you apart from the rest of the applicants. The main thing you want to focus on is the interview. A resume is great but only you can really describe why a company should pick you over others. This gives you the chance to make them want to hire you and a good first impression is always important. Another thing to keep in mind is although having the right certification or degree is important, bringing experience into the job can be more influential. You can gain experience not only by your previous work experience but also volunteering in the field as well. This shows you truly want to learn and care about what you do. Having the experience can truly set you apart and make you more compatible for the job. The last thing is to be yourself. If you do not get the job, look at it as a good thing. The job was probably not right for you and there is a better one around the corner.
